Why add collagen to cloud bread? As we age, our collagen production declines. Collagen is the protein behind glowing skin and healthy hair. It also promotes better joint function and improves gut health. Adding collagen to your diet may help you feel fuller longer too.
Collagen Cloud Bread Ingredients
3 eggs at room temperature
4 oz. cream cheese
1/8 tsp cream of tartar
2 scoops Collagen Peptides+ Probiotics
Pinch of Salt
Directions:
Separate eggs. In one bowl mix 3 egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form and set aside.
Next, mix cream cheese, egg yolks, collagen powder, and salt together until smooth. Make sure there are no clumps.
Then fold the egg whites into the cream cheese mixture.
Scoop out mixture on to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 300 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Collagen Cloud Bread Cooking Tips:
Don’t skip on the cream of tartar. This is what helps form the egg whites into stiff peaks while giving texture and fluffiness to the cloud bread.
How to Fold Egg Whites in Cloud Bread
Do not mix when adding the egg whites with the remaining ingredients. It will break down the egg white peaks. Even though it might sound complicated, folding is really just flipping ingredients over and over again until they combine.
Cloud Bread Recipe Substitutions:
You can easily substitute cream cheese for the following:
Sour Cream
Cottage Cheese
Greek Yogurt
