I can imagine you asking that question. That’s also the first question I asked when I first heard about it.
DHEA or dehydroepiandrosterone (quite a mouthful!) is a hormone produced by your body's adrenal glands. The adrenal glands are located just above your kidneys and function as substances that are converted into hormones. These include male and female sex hormones, specifically testosterone and estrogen. As you can imagine by now, DHEA production is highest in your mid-20s.
Unfortunately, as you age—usually starting around the age of 30—DHEA levels also decrease as your body functions decline. In fact, a person experiences a decrease in DHEA by up to 80% throughout their adult life. This decrease can be linked to several health problems, especially heart diseases, depression, and even lower bone density.
I don’t mean to say that you won’t have hormonal issues when you’re young. Not at all! In fact, hormonal imbalance can happen even when you’re young if your adrenal glands are overworked or undernourished as a result of lack of sleep or stress.
No need to panic, though!
You can actually do something to counter the effects of decreasing or unbalanced DHEA levels.
What do you do? You supplement.
Sure, there are other natural ways to balance your hormones (though I cannot think of one at the moment!), but supplements can fairly effectively adjust your hormone levels and provide many health benefits.
That said, there are plenty of options to choose from. But when choosing the supplement for you, quality definitely comes first. Remember, when it comes to your health, you never ever compromise quality.
What exactly does a good supplement do?
A good DHEA supplement helps to increase the levels of DHEA in your body. It has the ability to restore DHEA to peak levels and supports good health as you age.
Your supplement of choice boosts healthy DHEA levels and is specifically formulated to address hormonal imbalance by regulating testosterone and estrogen levels and maintaining a healthy metabolism.
Sounds good, so far? It gets better.
The ideal DHEA supplement builds up your energy and promotes weight loss and muscle mass. What’s more, it sharpens your mind, and enhances your mood and libido!
BE 100% NATURAL
Lastly, one of the most important things you should be looking for in a supplement is that it’s organic. You don’t want to be putting too many chemicals, preservatives, and sugar into your body. You know that, right? So go natural! Find a formula that’s guaranteed safe and all natural.
