5 Healthy Breakfast Ideas For The Busy Person
August 20, 2018
Life can get so busy.
Many times, we get too busy to even eat a proper breakfast. Which is a shame because sparing just a few minutes to grab something to eat can make a big difference to your day. If you’re one of those people who don't really have time to eat before leaving the house, I’ve got some healthy breakfast ideas to start your day right.
Don’t worry, I understand that there are certain mornings when even getting yourself out of bed and hurriedly grabbing something to eat on your way out the door takes everything you have (been there!). So I know it wouldn’t be realistic to prepare an elaborate gourmet breakfast every day.
But hey, that doesn't mean you should settle for a sugar rush that will leave you feeling hungry thirty minutes later! You can do better. In fact, you'd be surprised to know that these healthy breakfast ideas require very little effort from you.
Start your day right with these healthy, easy-to-prepare breakfast options:
1. Nut Butter, Banana, And Chia Seed Toast
Thank the skinny fork blog for a fun twist on the timeless peanut butter and toast topped with a banana slice and light sprinkling of chia! Believe it or not, this breakfast delight has six times more calcium than milk, according to The Greatist's Katie Morin!
2. Berry Yogurt Smoothie
This one from Chef Savvy blog is a convenient way to meet your nutritional needs. This smoothie is rich in fiber, protein, and vitamins. Super healthy, gluten-free, and can be prepared berry-easily, it’s a great breakfast on-the-go!
3. Poached Eggs With Mushrooms And Tomatoes

4. Almond Butter, Yogurt, And Fruit Parfait
This deliciously layered parfait is the perfect breakfast treat! Each bite will fill you with the juicy, sweet flavor of fruit, combined with the crunchy delight of minced roasted almonds. You can also try peanut or sunflower seed butter as an alternative to almond.
5. Fruit And Cheese
Most likely the simplest and easiest meal to prepare on this list, it’s also one of the most balanced. Simply pick your favorite fruit, a couple of ounces of cubed cheddar cheese, a handful of walnuts, then toss them together to complete your fiber-protein-vitamin-enriched breakfast!
Breakfast is important.
It provides you with the fuel you need after a long overnight fast. It keeps cravings away and combats the compulsion to overindulge throughout the day. And it lends you the mental and physical energy you need to power through your day.
